The Taylor Museum of Waco and McLennan County History is teaming up with Historic Waco to bring a theatrical/musical performance of the musical comedy Crash at Crush to Waco, Texas as a fundraiser for both organizations on September 19 and 20 from 6-9 PM at the Lee Lockwood Museum theater. The Crash at Crush was a one-day publicity stunt that took place on September 15, 1896, in Texas. The event featured two uncrewed locomotives of the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad Company intentionally set in motion a head-on collision course. The event was held as a publicity stunt for the railroad and attracted a crowd of more than 40,000 people.
